URGENTLY REQUIRED

We are a worldwide leader of plastic manufacturing company, seeking a suitably qualified person for the following position:

PRODUCTION MANAGER – PLASTIC

Based in Cikarang - Bekasi

The incumbent will be responsible to manage the production department and personnel, overseeing the daily production operations of a manufacturing facility ensuring that all safety procedures are followed and that all production goals are met.

Main Responsibilities:

To be responsible for production output, improvement, product quality.

Administers company policies with respect to the management of assigned personnel, machines and materials.

In conjunction with the Maintenance Head, formulates, implements, and monitors the preventive maintenance program.

Responsible for resolving technical and operational problems and initiating and executing improvement and development plans.

Responsible for new tool developments and also old tool refurbishing, along with the Tool room Team

Formulates the departmental training program to maintain personnel proficiency and adequate skill levels.

Implementation of the company’s Quality Management system at grass root level along with the Quality Management team.

To implement, maintain and improve the Quality & Environmental Management System & policy in production area.

Measuring and verifying production resource consumption rates (materials, staff, and services) with the aim of continued improvement and optimization.

Develops the departmental operating goals and budget for plant manager approval. Controls spending within the approved budget.

Recommending capital investments for improvement in processing.

Requirements:

Engineering graduate from a reputable University, preferably mechanical or industrial.

At least 10 years hands on technical experience in a plastics (HDPE & PVC) manufacturing plant, preferably multinational companies.

Technically and administratively competent with at least 3 years as managerial capacity. Previous experience in a plastic manufacturing plant as a Production manager role is essential.

Familiar with extruder equipment technology, plastics processing and equipment, as well as process trouble shooting.

Familiar with auxiliaries such as chillers, compressors, material handling equipment.

Strong in employee relations and people management skill. Can train and develop skills of subordinates.

Good track record of formulating and implementing production policies and systems

Administratively competent in production planning, budgeting and spending control, material usage, productivity improvement and cost saving projects, delivering results (self and team).

Good communication, analytical and reporting skills.

Fluent English both written and spoken (German language will be an advantage)

Proficient user of Microsoft office (excel, word and PowerPoint).
